Courtney Smith nasceu em Paris, França, em 1966. Graduada em Arte e Literatura comparada pela Yale University, realizou sua pós- graduação na Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage, Rio de Janeiro, tendo vivido no Brasil de 1989 a 2000. Ao longo da sua carreira, realizou diversas exposições, como: Remake, Courtney Smith and Iván Navarro, G Fine Art, Washington, D.C. (2008); Interiors, Hales Gallery, Londres (2008); 2nd Lives, Museum of Arts and Design, Nova York (2008); Waste Not, Want Not, Socrates Sculpture Park, Long Island City, Nova York (2008); Informed by Function, Lehman College Art Gallery, Nova York (2008). Expôs no Fórum Cultural de Esmerinde, Portugal (2007); Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro (2007); além de ter realizado Igloo, Next Door, Roma (2008); Build Up, Roebling Hall, Nova York (2007), ambas individuais.

 

Courtney Smith nació en París, Francia, en 1966. Diplomada en Arte y Literatura comparada por la Yale University, realizó su posgrado en la Escuela de Artes Visuales del Parque Lage, Rio de Janeiro.
