Maria Lucia Cattani

Maria Lucia Cattani nasceu em Garibaldi, Brasil, em 1958; vive e trabalha em Porto Alegre. Graduada em Artes Plásticas pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1981), obteve Mestrado em Fine Arts, pelo Pratt Institute, Nova York (1990); Doutorado pela University of Reading, Department of Fine Art, Reino Unido (1998), e pós-doutorado pela University of The Arts London, Londres (2008). Participou de Nagasawa Art Park Artist in Residence, Tsuna Town, Japão (2001) e Frans Masereel Centre, Kasterlee, Bélgica (1997). Entre suas últimas exibições individuais destacam-se: Quadrantes-Guadrants, Camberwell College of Arts Library, Chelsea College of Art & Design, Londres (2008) e Biblioteca do Instituto de Artes da UFRGS, Porto Alegre (2008); Ao Guadrado, Galeria Gestual, Porto Alegre (2007); 4 cantos do mundo, Studio Clio, Porto Alegre (2005); Sete dias - one week, Pinacoteca da Feevale, Novo Hamburgo, Brasil (2000). Dentre suas exibições coletivas mais recentes se incluem: Brazilian Video Art, Lakeside Theatre, University of Essex Collection of Latin American Art, Colchester, Reino Unido (2008); Video Links Brazil. Maria Lúcia Cattani was born in Garibaldi, Brazil in 1958 and currently lives and works in Porto Alegre. She received a Fine Arts degree from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1981), and her M.F.A. from the Pratt Institute, New York (1990). She has a Doctorate from the University of Reading, Department of Fine Art, United Kingdom (1998), and a Post-doctoral degree from the University of The Arts London (2008).
