Born 1966 in Bremerhaven, Germany, lives and works in Berlin, Germany. After completing an MA in English Literature at Universität Hamburg [1990-95], he studied Art at Central Saint Martins in London [1995-98]. Since then he participated in international solo and group exhibitions.

Since 2000 his works are largely online-based: a suite of internet works including “Leonardo Log” [2004], “Leif Codices” [2003], “Lee Marvin Toolbox” [2001], and “Life Measure Constructions” [2000/01] had largely animated, interactive components. His online audio works include “(the tender indifference)” [2008], browser-based audio-visual work; “Which---Side” [2007], downloadable song-sculpture, Newcastle City Council public art programme commission 2007, and “Leonardo Log (Klanglandschaft)” [2002], originally a walkable installation at iCamp Neues Theater, München.
Ebner’s works have been featured in various Festivals: Japan Media Arts Festival 2009; Siggraph 2004, 2006, 2008; FILE 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009; Stuttgarter Filmwinter 2003, 2007; Viper 2001; selection FILE Rio 2007, 2009. Ars Electronica Festival 2006, 2008 [Linz] commissioned visualisations for John Cage and Elliott Carter performances by the Bruckner Orchestra. Recent exhibitions 2009: “Paperpool”, Doerrie*Priess, Hamburg., “Contemporary Flânerie”, Oakland University Gallery, Rochester.
