BEHIND THE SCENES

The 13th Biennial's Educational Project is also promoting the Kitchen Talks – Behind the Scenes of the Biennial series of meetings, held from June to November 2022 at the Ling Institute Auditorium. These free, monthly, in-person meetings bring together members of the educational project, production, architecture, engineering, and event staging teams to discuss the development of artistic proposals, from conception to execution and inclusion in the exhibition. Registration is available on the Ling Institute website in the weeks leading up to the meetings, which will take place on June 29, July 27, August 31, September 28, October 26, and November 9, 2022.

"We want to 'open the black box' of the Biennial. Our intention is to demystify works of art as finished products and explore their procedural aspects, alongside other creative and scientific processes. We intend to discuss with the community how issues of technical feasibility, budget, schedule, and enjoyment overlap and interfere with the initial artistic conception," observes Germana Konrath, pedagogical curator of the 13th Mercosul Biennial.
