SYNOPSIS:

Get into the rhythm of the story of "Summer: A Black Anthology": a celebration of the legacy of Seu Osvaldo Pereira, Brazil's first record label, and record labels Dinho Pereira and Jean Pereira. A meeting of the present, past, and future, it tells the story of a family born from a Black, dancing, and creative São Paulo through sound.

Osvaldo Pereira, creator of the first mechanical dance party with turntables and vinyl records, the Let's Dance Invisible Orchestra in 1958, was responsible for this important historical milestone in the city: creating an accessible party for Black and working-class people located downtown. The party promoted culture in a democratic and pluralistic way until the late 1960s. Today, we have the Veraneio São Paulo party, hosted by the DJ duo Dinho and Jean Pereira, a product of the Let's Dance Invisible Orchestra's legacy.

SYNOPSIS:

Terror Mandela explores the sound, technology, and job market of funk dances in São Paulo's favelas. The film follows the journey of DJ K, one of the top DJs at Baile do Helipa, the city's largest favela, and his friend MC Zero K, who scored his first hit after ten years of pursuing his career. Combining documentary narratives, fictional elements, and visual experimentation, the film depicts the ups and downs faced by young people struggling to make a living from their music.
