Clean River Boat: Environmental Education and Preservation of the Gravataí River
The Barco Rio Limpo (Clean River Boat) project offers educational tours along the Gravataí River, providing an immersive experience to raise awareness in the community about the importance of preserving this ecosystem. Organized by the Gravataí Valley Nature Preservation Association (APN-VG), the project aims to bring students, residents, and local workers closer to the river's reality, debunking the notion that it is completely polluted and highlighting its biodiversity and importance to the region.
During the journey, participants have the opportunity to learn more about the river's fauna, flora, and environmental challenges, as well as understand how small actions can contribute to its conservation. The Clean River Boat is an essential tool for environmental education, encouraging a new perception and greater engagement in the defense of this natural heritage.
