Photographer, writer and artisan. She is from the community of Cruztón, municipality of San Juan Chamula, Chiapas, Mexico. Maruch started taking pictures since 1993. In her photos and texts in Tzotzil to read them as comments. First, it was a series of ancestral beliefs, that practical philosophy that takes us beyond the objects in the photos, an invisible level. Over time, he created several series, for example "The Art of Ancient Medicine", among others. Maruch learned to shepherd sheep at 5 years of age and, since childhood, she learned from her mother and grandmother the different wool processes for a garment made of 100% sheep wool, she dedicates herself to the embroidery design of Chamula and to the costume of 100% lamb wool and preparation of soaps with vegetable extract. In her career, Maruch has been a researcher, her images always accompanied in Tsotsil and Spanish, adopting ideas, thoughts, feelings: the steps of the people between the past and the present, among natural beings. Graduated in the 8th Diploma of Visual Arts Production (2019), held in residence at the San Agustín Etla Arts Center, Oaxaca. Her education has been in different subjects.
