NATALIA IGUIÑIZ

(Lima, Peru, 1973)

Visual artist and university professor, from her studies in Painting at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru-PUCP (1990-95) and from the Master's Degree in Gender, Sexuality and Public Policy at UNMSM, her work explores the construction of discourses around the conceptions of the feminine, sexuality, domestic work and motherhood; as well as the body and the disease. Her work moves between the exhibition spaces of art, intervention in public space and feminist activism. Occasionally she works in graphic design, social communication, writing and curatorship (the co-curatorship of the permanent exhibition of The Place of Memory, Tolerance and Social Inclusion stands out). She has participated in 12 individual projects and in more than two hundred exhibitions and biennials, national and international. As well, her work was reviewd in various publications. Her work is part of important collections, among which those of the MOLAA, MALI and El Reina Sofía museums stand out. She is mother of Antonia and Vicente.
