Mujeres Públicas (Public Women) is a Feminist Group of Artistic Activism comprised of Fernanda Carrizo, Lorena Bossi, and Magdalena Pagano. Their activism considers that creativity and visual impact are key points to effectiveness. They use low-cost materials, posters, biscuits, multiple objects, and urban interventions to make visible situations of oppression. They encourage the collective appropriation of their proposals by socializing the procedures for carrying out the objects. Since 2003 they have been acting in favor of abortion legalization, denouncing the rape of women in war conflicts, questioning hegemonic models of beauty and heteronormativity, among other issues that affect women. At Biennial 12 they present their flag DEMASIADO, which has been used as an expression of the boredom towards the ferocity of current capitalism and its numerous consequences; it is an action that mocks "Las Ventajas de ser lesbiana" ("The Advantages of being Lesbian"). The posters collage critically deems to the queer issue, which is a libertarian concept in its origin, and it is becoming aesthetic, and behavioral excluding pattern.
