One of the most complex problems for those who create images is to find a way to represent them, not having any references. How to account for the not lived time by the absent bodies of the missing people? Errázuriz Proposes an intimate archive of the years before the beginning of the democratic transition in Chile, after 17 years of dictatorship. During the transition, the dictatorship structures of political and economic power were still running. At the same time, the review process of these years of violence began. Paz Errázuriz does it based on his son's photographs. The series of portraits between the end of the dictatorship and the beginning of the government of Patricio Aylwin (1986-1990) is consolidated in a film whose images pass successively. Un Cierto Tiempo (A Certain Time) brings together slight changes, like data of his growth, and changes of his face. These transformations represent the passage of time as an experience.
